A Day in the Life:

Could you share a glimpse into a typical day as the co-owner of Rios Auto Body? How do you balance the various aspects of running the business?

Antonio: Of course. I’ll usually start my day by speaking to each member of my staff, getting input into their assigned project and going over how we’re gonna make sure we deliver each and every one of these vehicles fast without sacrificing quality.

From there I’ll order what is pending whether it be parts, or paint supplies to make sure my team has what they need. Throughout all this I communicate with various dealerships, and handle all incoming customers inquiring about estimates.

Antonio: I’ve been doing this for about 3 years now, and what I have found that works for me is writing notes on excel or on a notepad. I’ll organize my notes by priority and by the amount of time I give myself to complete my ‘assignments’

Connection and Culture:

Customizing Cars and drinks often come together to create memorable experiences. Can you recall a time when the choice of drink enhanced a moment or event for you, be it a celebratory toast with a client or a quiet reflection?

Antonio: It didn’t happen on purpose but it seems like before every Christmas break my staff and I will grab some tall cans and have lunch together. We talk about some of the projects we’ve done in the year and talk about our plans for the holidays.

We’d like to know – do you have a favorite alcoholic drink that you enjoy to unwind or celebrate business milestones?

Antonio: I do actually. I’m a beer guy, and I’m usually drinking IPA’s. But if I’m in the mood for something lighter I’ll go for a Victoria.

Signature Drink:

Given the theme of our blog, “CEO and Spirits,” we’re curious – do you have a favorite or signature alcoholic drink? How does it complement your professional and personal life?

Antonio: Like I said before I’m an IPA guy. Professionally I’m not too keen on drinking since I’m dealing with cars all day. But in my personal life I like to hit up new (to me) breweries to check out the drinks and take in the atmosphere. I’d like to brew some beer at home for fun some time this year. Just to see what the process is like.
